Getting my journal cherry popped!

Wed Nov 19, 2008, 7:15 AM
I have just realized that I've never written a journal yet. And usually when I go to profiles to see "Oh, what kind of person made THIS cool drawing!?", I'll usually see a lil' journal. So I figure I should at least make one quick journal for people to read. However, I don't really know if anyone will actually read this. If someone is reading this, I hope you're having fun reading this. I don't know, I think I might be more of an entertainer rather than an artist. I'd like to be more artistic, I take heavy pride in my creativity and wild imagination, but I don't think I have the discipline to call myself an "artist". But once in a blue moon I'll make something cool I want to share with people. I was at my senior prom, getting a caricature done, and the dude drawing it was amazing, I have it hanged up in my room. He was also a violinist, I loved talking to him, and on that faithful day, he gave me some of the best advice I've ever heard. He told me "As an artist, it should be your duty to share whatever you create with the world". I really like that outlook, because it's true. Some people create because it's an outlet for everything they feel, but cannot rightly express, some people use it for fun, or to escape their harsh realities, some people do it for fame and recognition. But no matter what your reason is, if you create, you have an obligation to share it, maybe not in a museum gallery, but at least to a friend, or a stranger that wants to look at something cool. I may not be an incredible artist who is way ahead of his time, but I hope I can at least succeed in making you think about life a little, and smiling about it. Sorry, but I gotta stop writing, I need to start driving to school (I have a statistics test today, wish me belated luck!). If you're still bored though, try writing a story, that's always fun. Here, let me help start you out.
"I don't remember what happened earlier that night, but as soon as I came to, I found myself surrounded by tall ominous trees. The only light came from a chilling moon, I could see it perfectly hanging over the tips of the trees, it was staring at me. It felt like the night was sentient, and the moon was it's intimidating eye that was glaring at me, as if it were anticipating my next move. At that point I decided to-"

Artists use lies to tell the truth, politicians use them to cover it up.
